There are several ways to travel to a Monarch Sanctuary from Angangueo: The public bus costs 18 pesos per person but runs only twice a day and at long waits between trips. Private vans take small groups round trip for 400-600 pesos. Taxi service is the less common and most expensive means to reach a Sanctuary.
