Vicente Guerrero Elementary

Children welcomed Journey North enthusiastically! We began going over the stages of monarchs' life cycle, while they ask questions, about the conditions in which monarchs live in the North during the Spring and Summer.

Children enjoy Reading their letters and are thrilled at trying to read sentences in English in their letters! Dreaming that some day they will speak English!According to Government Reforms in Education in México, English will be a mandatory subject in the mid-term future. No public school in Mexico teaches English as a subject, but private schools. Journey North and monarchs Across Georgia donated books at this school.

Break time: An ice-cream (two pesos) or a Candy (.50 cents - 1 peso) is enough for children to enjoy break time. Remodeling of the facade and some classrooms make it look very nice!

Little by little, after decades, perhaps, schools’ facilities all over in our region, get renewed through Government Programs granted to those schools which are willing to improve their academical level through different evaluations made by the state. This all amounts, in the end, to improvement for children’s education in all senses.
