Symbolic Monarchs in Mexico

20 de Noviembre Elementary
When Estela arrived, these 4th, 5th and 6th grade children shouted to other children in class "Our monarch butterfly letters from the North have arrived!" Children gathered to warmly welcome Journey North! They enjoyed their gifts and letters and Ambassador Monarchs, surprised at looking on the maps enclosed to their Ambassador Monarchs how far their letters are coming from.  We had a Migration and Life Cycle "lecture" in the class. The children make a lot of questions to Estela, such as life for children in those latitudes, weather differences to our region's, school conditions, food, etc.

Children proudly showed Estela that their school is determined to collecting plastics for recycling as their contribution to Environment Conservation in our region.  This is not common to see it at a school in our communities in the region.

Children took me there to show it to me the main water water system directly feed from water from up the mountains, from where all families in the community provide water for themselves.
