Miguel Hidalgo Elementary
Boys were playing marbles and girls cleaning up their classrooms the moment Journey North arrived. Children enjoying very much writing their response letters. They crowded the pages with drawings and sentences about them and their lives!

This school and the families of children attending it live in the surroundings of Angangueo town. They make a living in countless ways except from monarch butterfly tourism. Most parents work on agriculture. In absolutely all of these families, there are several members of the family working in big cities in México, and at least one member (father, brother, sister) working somewhere in the United States, providing financial support to their relatives here.
