Tracking Changes in Photoperiod Around the Globe

Mystery Class Update: March 27, 1998

Today's Update Includes:

You're On Your Way!
Last week each Mystery Class provided a single clue about the GMT sunrise time in order to help you estimate the longitude of their location. Now all you need to know is the latitude of each place and you're there!

We've collected some additional clues from the Mystery Class sites this week, and we've included those clues below along with the weekly sunrise/sunset data. Clues like these will be provided throughout the month of April, so that you can try to guess each Mystery Class location by the May 1st guessing date. Good luck to you all!

This Week's Sunrise/Sunset Data

Mrs. Berger's 5th Grade Class

Mrs. Berger and her students, from East Hills School in New York

Remember, this information was recorded on Monday, the same day you collected your sunrise/sunset data.

# 5 First lawn mushrooms out yesterday (a sure sign of autumn!)

# 6 We have some of the most famous vineyards in the world.

# 7 Our city started to develop before the Declaration of Independence.

# 8 Our country is landlocked.

# 9 We do not have four seasons here. The weather is mostly hot at around 34 degrees Centigrade.
