Today's Report Includes:

Time's Running Out!
Your Mystery Friends say they will be running out of clues in just one more week, and they wonder if you have figured out where they are? Take a look at their latest clues below. Are you any closer to uncovering their top secret locations yet? Good luck!

Next Friday, April 20, we'll send the final set of clues, along with important instructions on how to submit your Mystery Class answer. Teachers--see the important rules below for preparing your answer.

Note to Teachers: Important Rules For Preparing Your Answer
As Teachers you understand the importance of students carefully reading and following directions. Now it's your turn! In next week's update, we'll give you all the complete instructions for properly submitting your answer. In the meantime, we want to alert you to the following important rules in advance (we'll repeat them again next week):

1. INCLUDE YOUR GRADE IN THE SUBJECT LINE of your E-mail:
If you don't include the grade, your answer will be judged with the grade 12 entries.

2. ANSWERS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN APRIL 27:
To be fair to everyone, any answers sent after that date will not be accepted.

3. WARNING: DO NOT SEND MORE THAN ONE VERSION OF YOUR ANSWER:
After you've submitted your answer, you may not change your answer and send it in again. Only one answer from each class will be accepted. So be sure to double check your answer before submitting!

CLUES From Your Mystery Friends
Mystery Class:

MC#1:
"More than 200 years ago, an earthquake destroyed much of our city."

MC#2: "Our country's government is led by a Prime Minister, but we also have a king-type leader too. Our Independence Day is August 31 and occurred almost 44 years ago. Our city is located at the confluence of 2 rivers."

MC#3: "Our country has one of the world's largest natural reserves of sea lions at an island within sight distance from our most popular summer resort-sometimes called the 'Monaco of the South'. Our city is situated at the mouth of one of the world's largest estuaries; though its waters are brownish, its name has to do with silver."

MC#4: "The Río Balsas, also known as Río Mescala, flows along one of this state's borders and then it empties into the Pacific Ocean."

MC#5: "My 'town' was built by the Navy SeaBee's. The only reason my 'town' is here is to support research for the National Science Foundation."

MC#6: "Our airport closed in 1959. In its time, many people landed or took off from there including Captain Charles Lindbergh and Amy Johnson."

MC#7: "The Maori name for our country is Aotearoa, which means land of the long white cloud. In the Maori language, the seasons are summer = raumati, autumn = ngahuru, winter = takurua, and spring = koanga"

MC#8: "This city is a large exporter of toys. We have the world's longest twin-deck (road and rail traffic) suspension bridge."
