A week ago they landed in Boone County, Indiana and they'll stay yet another day. With wrong-way winds gusting to 13 mph and a 60% chance of rain, nothing will get them into the air today. More than a dozen whoopers have left Wisconsin on migration and more than half of the Western flock of Whooping cranes have arrived in Texas (156, including 2 sets of twins). Let's hope tomorrow is a day to fly.
