Chris Gullikson leads the "Chass 7" over the rooftops en route to their pen at Chassahowitzka NWR. It's their last flight together. Wouldn't you like to live in one of those houses on that day?
Do you see the ultralight chase plane?
ICF's Sara Zimorski puts final touches on the Chass pen. Then she will put on her costume to call the birds down for a landing.
The birds had a great time flying today. They didn't want to land!
When #804 would not land at the Chass pen, pilots had to lead him away to a nearby landing spot. Look who welcomed them! (What were those cows thinking?) He was then put in a crate and delivered by airboat to island pen site, where his flock mates were already home.

Journey North is pleased to feature this educational adventure presented in cooperation with the Whooping Crane Eastern Partnership (WCEP).
