No-fly Day Due to Strong Winds (+0 Miles)
October 26, 2008: Migration Day 10

Crane #830 looks for a treat in the puppet's beak!

It's SO WINDY that Operation Migration's Liz Condie says if the wind doesn't soon loosen its grip, the team will rename this state to "Wind-sconsin." Good idea!

The cranes and planes haven't moved for five days, but Liz reminds us that last year on Migration Day #10 the team was still at the first stopover and only 4 miles into the journey. Good flying weather still looks about 2 days away, so stay with us!

Sunday Today: No Classroom Activities

Journey North is pleased to feature this educational adventure presented in cooperation with the Whooping Crane Eastern Partnership (WCEP).
