No-fly Day: Wind + Cold + Snow (+0 Miles)
November 8, 2008: Migration Day 23

Photo Richard van Heuvelen, Operation Migration

Today is the 10th day of weather delays trapping the team in Green County, WI, just 95 miles south of their departure site. "Wind-sconsin" won't let them go. They were grounded here for 7 days back in 2004, and in 2007 they were stuck for 9 days in Juneau County, Wisconsin. But in order to NOT out-do 2007's all-time record-breaking delay to cross the mountains in Tennessee, they need to get airborne tomorrow or Monday.

The public is invited to watch the Wisconsin departure! Details >>

Saturday today; no Classroom Activities.

Journey North is pleased to feature this educational adventure presented in cooperation with the Whooping Crane Eastern Partnership (WCEP).
