Sitting out the Wind and Rain (+ 0 Miles )
November 24, 2008: Migration Day 39

What did Joe and Heather do on a no-fly day last week? They visited the second graders in Ms. Harrison's class at the Univ. of Chicago Lab Schools! See more. >>

Southwest winds brought much warmer weather overnight. It's raining, too. They'll sit out Day 39 on the ground in Piatt County, Illinois.

On no-fly days, the team sometimes goes to visit students in nearby schools. Today teacher Lisa Harrison shares photos of last week's exciting visit by Joe and Heather!

Viewing Opportunity: Folks near the town of
Milmine, Illinois can see the cranes depart when they leave this location! The viewing site will be at the intersection of 22 (Milmine Road) and Bodman, just before crossing the railway tracks. Use MapQuest or GoogleMaps to come up with driving directions to it from your home location.
