December 10, 2008: Migration Day 55
No thanks to the weather, today is Down Day #5 in Hardin County,
Tennessee. Yesterday's storm brought the wind change they needed,
but those
welcome north
winds
are too strong today. The overnight temperature drop
created patchy
fog. We invite you to daydream about flying with
the cranes as you read Taylor's story (above).
In
the Classroom:
-
Today's
Journal Questions:
(a) What
questions would you ask Taylor? Have
you ever done something other people
would love to do if they got the chance?
-
(b-for-bonus) As
you read where the migration was one
year ago today, you'll get a big clue
as to why the route changed in 2008. What
is it?
