Birds for Transport: Tough Decision
When birds turn back or drop out, what do we think about before deciding if we need to crate and drive them to the next stopover? • There is always the possibility of injury in the crate. • Birds captured and packed into a box can soon become wary of people dressed in white (our costume). When we have good flying weather for days in a row, any reluctant birds get more chances to follow the core group of leaders until they learn the routine and have fun following.
