Yesterday's drizzles and drenchings are done, but the wind is today's
enemy. They've traveled only four miles of the over-1250-mile journey
and it's time to migrate! In fact,
five of their 247
wild whooper cousins in the world's only natural
flock of Whooping cranes have already completed their migration from
their
nesting grounds in Canada down to their wintering grounds in Texas.
Today
the batteries are being replaced on the world's
first live CraneCam
now set up at Stopover #1. Please check back
to watch the young cranes!
