November 22, 2009: Migration Day 38

In this photo from yesterday's flight, what do you see below that was spooky for the birds?

After the ground fog burned off, the nearly 20 mph headwinds aloft sealed the fate: today is Down Day #1 in Livingston Co. IL. A day to catch up could be good after the excitement of Friday's and Saturday's flights. The team is scouting a location for a public viewing opportunity when the cranes head out for Stopover #8. We're hoping it's tomorrow!

CraneCam is LIVE each day from 6:30 to 10:00 a.m. and again from 3:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon, just before sunset. The TrikeCam is LIVE during flights.
