No Go. Weather Ahead Looks Bad (+0 Miles)
December 12, 2009: Migration Day 58

The crane-kids are happily chomping corn, pumpkins and squash in today's calm weather at the final stop in Tennessee.

Who wants to run into ice pellets in the sky? Surely not our cranes and planes. That's what could happen if they fly farther south today, so they'll stay put. They arrived here yesterday, now 645 miles into the journey south. Alabama is next. Let's hope for flying weather tomorrow.

CraneCam is live each day from about 6:30 to 10:00 a.m. and again from 3:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon. TrikeCam is live during migration flights.
