No Progress in the Air (+0 Miles) October 29, 2010: Migration Day 20 Photo Operation Migration The good news: For the first time in ten days the weather was flyable in Winnebago County, IL. The cranes and planes took off! The bad news: After a crazy crane rodeo, dropouts and landings, the pilots gave up. The birds will be back at the same stopover in Winnebago County for yet another day. The plan: The team will need to figure out how to get the show on the road. Pilot Joe Duff said, "Part of their pen is flooded from all the recent rain. They love water, so they are reluctant to leave now, and it's been ten days without flying. These are really good birds; they're just a little confused right now."
