Makes Them Wait (+O
Miles) You'll see a big leap on the map if you didn't see updates during the holiday weekend (see list of reports). Strong south winds and possible rain prevent a flight for the second day in Hardin County, Tennessee, but we are excited and hopeful about being at the final stop in Tennessee. Here's a glimpse at what's coming: From camp Liz reminds us, "This pen site is down in a little valley and the valley is surrounded by trees. In past years it has been a challenge to coax the birds down the valley and then up over the treeline. Due to rotation of the lead pilot position, this task has by chance fallen to Richard every year for three years. Two migrations ago, it took multiple attempts on multiple days to get the job done." Read the story here. Will Richard get his chance tomorrow? Come back to find out! For today, enjoy the video clip (click on image above) from arrival day at this stopover site. Fun!
