No Go: South Winds (+0 Miles) October 30, 2011: Migration Day 22 Where is the brood model? Image: Heather Ray, Operation Migration Winds have turned around to blow from the south. After three days of moving ahead, the planes and cranes are down for day 1 in Winnebago County, Illinois. A year ago today, south winds also kept them stuck—for the 11th day in Winnebago County, setting a new record for down days! They had arrived on Oct. 19, migration day 10.
