No Go: Still Some Gusts (+0 Miles) November 7, 2011: Migration Day 30 Image: Operation Migration Winds have died down, but they come back in occasional gusts from the wrong direction. It's not a good day to fly. But there IS good news in Operation Migration's Field Journal this morning: Liz wrote that yesterday, volunteer Tom Schultz observed wayward female #2-11 in the same field she was originally found foraging with Sandhill cranes. Tom watched for about a half hour. He noticed that they seemd comfortable with one another although "the Sandhills did appear to move slowly out of the way if 2-11 happened to come close."
