Headwinds and threat of rain shut down hopes for more progress today. A weather system currently over Texas is likely to reach the birds' Union County, Kentucky location by tomorrow morning, bringing 50-mph winds aloft. This is Down Day 1, and tomorrow likely will be Down Day 2.

In the Classroom: Journal or Discussion

It's Saturday: No school, no questions today!

Teachers:
If your school is within 30 or 40 miles of the migration route, you are invited to contact educators and Operation Migration volunteers Gordon and Christine to ask about a classroom visit.

Journey North is pleased to feature this educational adventure presented in cooperation with the Whooping Crane Eastern Partnership (WCEP).
