Preparing for Migration!
September 15, 2015
Weekly Updates

The young cranes in the Class of 2015 have proved themselves just great at flying long, well and high—and at following the aircraft. The Operation Migration team says, "No doubt about it, this cohort is ready to migrate and the target departure date has been set for September 20." The cohort includes five females and one male. Journey South and Operation Migration are eagerly counting down to the young crane's first southward migration, with their aircraft leaders to teach them the way. Will the weather cooperate? Stay tuned for weekly reports on Mondays once migration begins!
