Dear Journey
North,
My name is
Sara and I would like to share my crane thoughts with you. I have always
been interested in endangered species. The Whooping Crane is important
to me because it was once a native to Wisconsin, my home state. Many people
don't know about cranes or understand their habitat, which are wetlands.
I?m afraid that no matter how successful the Whooping Crane Reintroduction
Program is, if people continue to destroy wetlands, cranes will disappear
again and maybe forever.
The best part of doing Change For Cranes is giving money to the International
Crane Foundation and knowing that I am doing something great to help the
cranes.
Dear Journey
North,
My name is Jessica. The first time I went to the International Crane Foundation
in Baraboo, Wisconsin I was amazed at how many different cranes there
were and how beautiful they are. My favorite crane is the Blue Crane.
I love to hear the unison calls of the cranes. I can't wait until the
Sandhills return this spring so that I can hear them. I will also be happy
when all the Whooping Cranes make it back home from Florida safe.
I like doing CFC. It's been fun for me. I like teaching other kids about
cranes and getting them involved. I hope they all know that we might be
kids but we can still do good things and make this world a better place.
