Matt is a tracking intern for the International
Crane Foundation (ICF).
He uses radio
telemetry to track Whooping cranes in Florida,
Wisconsin, and everywhere
in between. After graduating from Cal Berkeley in December
2009 with degrees in Integrative Biology and Forestry
and Natural Resource Management, Matt began working for
ICF in the following month. Although 2010 is his first
year working with Whooping cranes, Matt is no stranger
to endangered species. Matt has used radio telemetry
to help in the recovery efforts of other endangered species
including Tule Elk in California and Attwater’s
Prairie Chickens in Texas.
