Whoopers for Wisconsin?

Role Assignment

Read the following situation. Your job will be to persuade the International Whooping Crane Recovery Team to agree with your group's perspective, so read carefully, taking on the role of

Audubon Society:

Your members are excited about the whooping crane reintroduction in Wisconsin! Most of these enthusiastic bird watchers do not have a whooping crane on their life-list of birds they have seen and eagerly await the opportunity to add one!

Your organization encourages reintroduction of native species and is happy to imagine seeing whoopers flying free once again in the state, as they did in earlier times. You strongly support the choice that is biologically best for the species. You are aware that other groups are more concerned with politics or money than the wisest biological choice. You also understand the importance of being able to relate to things that matter to other people in order to be effective and persuasive for your own viewpoint.

When truly organized, your group is very effective and often presents emotionally-appealing arguments in support of their chosen causes.
