After
the Class of 2007 had reached their Florida release pen, the
winter monitoring team got worried about Crane #735. She stopped
flying. Her records showed that she didn't do well after being
handled during banding and check-ups. Early in the migration
she had a droopy right wing for several days, but got better
after some rest and pills. Now she was having trouble opening
her wings. The team watched her carefully, and doctors stepped
in. Before long, the young crane's future changed. What happened?
