| Back at the office the egg is weighed. "We compare the egg weights to those of eggs produced from captive facilities. We want to see how close the captive birds are in emulating wild birds. There are many differences in nutrition and condition between captive and wild birds. After collecting this data for several years we can try and relate the differences in egg weight and size to hatchability," says Brian. |
