The big enclosure and ponds of St. Marks NWR make a good home for young cranes learning to live wild and free. Sometimes a crane from a previous class visits the pen. After all, it was their first Florida home, too. This young crane chases a sub-adult crane from last year that came back to visit—or maybe to get some free chow!
