Fifteen minutes per bird was all it took. Then each was back in the pen with its buddies. Of course, plenty of grape treats from the puppet were necessary! Still, the chicks were grumpy and kept clear of the costumes. After more grape treats and time, they were able to trust the "costumes" again.
