The
Eastern flock spends winters in Florida. The young cranes are led
to two National Wildlife Refuges. Since 2001 they have been taken
to Chassahowitzka ("Chass" for short). In 2009 St Marks
NWR became a winter home when the pilots brought half of the new
arrivals there and the other half to "Chass." Let's visit
Chass!
