Preparing for the Future
Cranes are usually 4 or 5 years old when they successfully hatch their first young. In the meantime, a few yearling cranes may start flirting or dating. Some may try to build a nest. Some may practice dancing. In a few years they'll dance to attract a mate. They are practicing for the future.
