Full Circle
By
late summer or fall, the yearlings look like typical
adults. Free and independent, they will
be ready to make the journey south — without parents (or ultralight
airplanes) to lead the way. Whether alone or with other Whooping crane
or
Sandhill crane buddies, they're good to go. It's
a stunning achievement in just one year!
