Last Barge from Platform Holly
The oil barge arrived for its last round-up of oil from Platform Holly. From now on the oil will be piped up the Gaviota Coast to a facility. It will be one less obstacle for the gray whales that choose this migration route through the nearshore of the Santa Barbara Channel. Volunteers for Gray Whales Count come every day to count northbound whales passing here.
