Did you notice
that the sunlight (and darkness) changed from October 1 to November 1
to December 1? More of the Northern Hemisphere was in darkness each passing month.
So we can conclude that as fall progresses, the days got shorter in the Northern Hemisphere and the
nights got longer. Have you noticed those changes in your hometown?
Sunlight is at the root of all other seasonal changes. The winter solstice, the shortest day of the year, comes around December 21. How do
you think the image will change after that? Keep your eyes peeled.
