It's a snowy emergence for Eisenhower elementary students. First and second grade classes planted bulbs in a control garden and experimental gardens. The tulips to emerge this week were from the control garden.
"We were not sure there would be school today because of the latest storm. We were excited to see our tulips had emerged over the weekend! It was -1° this morning. We're not sure how the snow and ice will affect the new tulips." Independence, Kansas 03/03/14
