Mrs. Hayes' Class, Smith School, Tenafly, N.J. Bats are very good because
they eat our insects that annoy us. They eat the bugs that eat our crops. A
mother bat has one baby at a time. Babies nurse from their mothers. Baby
bats get covered with pollen when they get nectar from the flower. The
lesser long-nosed bat is also known as the central bat. The lesser
long-nosed bat has a long nose to get the nectar from the flower. It goes
into the flower to get the nectar. We found it out from a video called "Bats
of America" by Bat Conservation International.
