Twentieth Anniversary of ISHCMC!
Our school is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year. As you can see, we made a special formation on our athletic field to celebrate the number "20"!

Our School Building and Outdoor Pitch
Our school goes from Early Learning right through to Grade 12. We are an International Baccalaureate or "IB" School, and we offer all the IB Programs. There are nearly 1000 students at ISHCMC, and you can see we have a beautiful school building. In fact, in 2017 we are expanding and will have a second building a few minutes away to house the MY Program for our older students.

Our Favorite Books
At the moment Grade 63 students are really enjoying reading novels written by an Australian author named Morris Gleitzman. We are all reading one called "Boy Overboard" about a brother and sister who escape from the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Then for free reading some of us are reading the series by Gleitzman, "Once, Then and Now." All three books trace the adventures of Felix during World War II. We highly recommend these books.

Our Favorite Sport – Football!!
Even though it's usually hot and humid here in Ho Chi Minh City,  at break times we still love to get outside and play football (or as you might call it "soccer").

Celebration of  Cultures
Because our school is a rich and diverse group of students from all over the world, we celebrate all our international cultures on the Celebration of Cultures Day! This event is organized by our PTO and is one of our most spectacular events of the year; students, parents and teachers dress in national costume and each country represented gives a three minute cultural performance to the entire school. Take a look!

Our Canteen
Here at our school, we are really lucky to have great foods at the "Canteen". We all know "Chef Gabe", who makes sure we all have healthy, balanced and nutritious dishes, handcrafted with fresh and locally sourced ingredients.

Wildlife
Because of our warm and humid climate, our country has a wide range of plant and animal biodiversity, such as these Tonkin snub-nosed monkeys.

Our City
We are located in the largest City in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City. The City also sometimes goes by other names, such as its earlier name Saigon.

Our city is located in the southern half of Vietnam, which lies along the eastern side of the Indochine Peninsula. You can see on this map that our country is bordered by three countries: China to the North, Laos to the northwest, and Cambodia to the Southeast.
