Open Food Markets
Public markets like this are part of life in Denpasar. In fact, the name Denpasar in Balinese translates to "North" (Den) "Market" (Pasar), because our city originally began near the site of a market. |

Fresh Local Seafood
Fish and seafood of all kinds are offered at the public markets, and they are fresh and local from the seas around our island. |

We Have Mountains
In addition to our beautiful beaches, Bali has several mountains, including some with peaks over 3,000 meters. The mountain in this photo is Mt. Agung, the highest peak on Bali at 3,031 meters -- plus, it's considered an active volcano too. |

Biodiversity
Bali has many interesting birds, and we're especially known for the endemic and endangered Bali Myna bird. Although its image is seen every day on one of our Indonesian coins, it is rarely scene in nature because it's critically endangered. Therefore, most photos, including this one, only show birds in zoos across the world. |

Monkeys
Monkeys can also be seen on Bali, especially around some of the Temples visited by tourists. |
