Dear
Journey North,
We're
down to only 1 nest left. We are trying hard to find out why. There
were 10 nests on April 22/early April 23. By April 28 (though
most of the failure occurred the 23rd
and 24th) there was only 1 left. It is the nest of pair #309
and #403. They are first-time nesters.
The good news is that #733 is back in Wisconsin. He was heard
flying in/over/around the refuge briefly on April 29. I hope to
have more on him later.
