Our
birds are well on their way for this spring 2009 migration! Once
again, U25 has caught the thermals coming off the St. Lawrence River
and is moving swiftly northeastward towards her nesting destination.
Look up her summer 2008 location to see where she may go this year.
We will see more next week.
Once
again U21 is migrating along a familiar path. Compare her fall route
south to her wintering grounds with her path this spring. And what
about U27 and S28? They seem to have a head start with their nest
duties. Stay tuned! |

U27:
Home Sweet Home for U27?
|
It
has now been about 3 weeks since bald eagle U27 has transmitted
signals from the same location (47.63, -77.32). Has she located
her nesting site for spring 2009? We checked the spring 2008 map
to see where she spent the spring and summer last year. Look what
we found!
Pull
out your journals to write your prediction for eagle U27: Will she
stay in her current location for nesting, or is she waiting to move
on? Stay tuned.
