Tulip Garden Update: November 13, 1998
Today's Report Includes: |
"Across the pond" in Scotland, (56.40 N, -3.00 W), another international
garden has been planted. Mrs. Miller reported that her students planted their garden
on October 30, 1998.
Back in Chaska, MN (44.80 N, - 93.63 W), two classrooms learned that you just never
know what "artifacts" you might discover when you plant a tulip garden.
Mrs. Rienstra's and Mrs. Grave's class "thought they found a dinosaur egg--only
to discover they had dug up potatoes planted the previous spring! In our digging,
we found several earthworms and an acorn buried deep! The children learned how to
use a trowl, a ruler, and thought the tulip bulbs looked like huge chocolate chips!"
