Ruby-throats in Canada
More ruby-throats moved north into Canada this week. They've crossed Lakes Ontario and Erie, and zipped north into New Brunswick. Wet weather may slow the northward push until later this week.

Rufous Spread East
Rufous continue to hold at 58°N latitude, with one sighting reported further inland near Juneau, Alaska. Also this week the first sightings were reported in Nevada.

"I put up feeders last week when I read they were in Rocky Mountains. I heard it before I saw it. They're back!"

Western Species Highlights
Calliope, black-chinned, rufous and broad-tailed hummingbirds continue to arrive at feeders in the west.

"I have 3 male black-chinned hummers and 1 female now feeding and fighting at the feeder. Seems like numbers are starting to grow."
