Perfect Little Nest
Female hummingbirds are master builders. After selecting a sheltered location, the female searchs for just the right materials to make a nest that is strong yet soft, and stretchy enough to hold her fast-growing nestlings. Soon after the nest is complete she will lay eggs and incubate them for 11-16 days. Her babies will spend their first 21 days growing in this perfect little nest.
