A hummingbird nest is not much bigger than a ping-pong ball. A penny and a toothpick are used to estimate the size of this one. The two little eggs laid in its downy-lined cup will hatch into 2 growing nestlings. This tiny little nest will stretch and grow to hold the nestlings until they fledge.
