Migration Begins
"Here we go again!" exclaimed Lanny Chambers, our hummingbird expert, at the start of a new spring migration season. Last weekend the first migrating ruby-throated hummingbirds were reported in Louisiana and Florida.

"Sunday, 02/22/15, I observed an adult male ruby-throated hummingbird in bright, shiny-fresh plumage that appeared to me to fit the bill of a northbound migrant." Harahan, Louisiana

Wind and Migration
