Global Greetings: A Message from Your Mystery Friends

Dear Friends:

How are you doing on your hunt to find us? We're pretty good at hiding, aren't we? But we also look forward to meeting you, so we've been working very hard on our clues.

We sent the first set of clues for you today and we wish we could tell you more, but don't worry, more clues will be on their way for the next four weeks--good luck, friends!

Now Playing: Some Clues About the Clues
The clues we provide begin as broad clues about regions, continents or countries.

Predictions:
Will Your Eggs be "Standing" or "Schmushed" on the Equinox?

What do you predict will happen to your eggs on the equinox?
Have they balanced in the previous few weeks?

Remember to conduct your egg balancing tests on the vernal equinox--the day which some believe has a special kind of force that will make a raw egg balance on its own end.

Record the results in your journals. Then, keep testing for the next two weeks.>>

Explore! Seasonal Cycles vs. Daily Cycles
When is the vernal equinox this year?

If you live west of Greenwich, watch those eggs on March 20.

If you live east of Greenwich, watch your eggs on March 21.

Wait a second, how can the equinox occur on two different dates?

Write your thoughts in your journal and then...
