First Monarchs Reach Winter Home in Mexico!

The first monarchs are here at last!
They just jumped up today after noon time. The weather was rather sunny and fresh and, by noontime, a kind of sixth sense told me monarchs might appear today.
José Alberto, Rosa Isela, Erika, Javier and I jumped into the car and left towards El Cerrito longing to see a Monarch somewhere on the way.
The first Monarchs were majestically flying over the northwest side of our town not looking in the least affected by the very bad weather we have had in the last days.
Later in the afternoon, we went back to El Cerrito just by sunset, since we wanted to confirm their staying overnight there but, by that time, there was not one single butterfly neither flying nor on the trees.
It seemed they would spend the night somewhere else. It all points to the likelihood that within the next 2-3 days the colonies should start to forme in El Rosario and Chincua Sanctuaries, which will be officially opened next on November 22nd.
This coming weekend, we will be confirming Monarchs' official arrival from the way up to "El Rosario" and from "El Rosario Sanctuary" itself, so that we can officially announce their arrival
Meanwhile, we can indeed say that today, Wednesday, November 6th the first monarchs have arrived this year to their overwintering region in Central México!
