Highlights: Thankfully They Did Not Bypass Me
Thousands of robins landed in a Texas pasture this week: “They came in from the West at 7PM on Thankfully they did not bypass me.” McKinney, TX 03/12/08

Other Highlights:
"I have seen a half dozen robins or so, singing in trees primarily...all seem happy and healthy. There is still a tiny bit of snow in shady areas, but earthworms have begun to surface, so there is a food source in addition to whatever berries are left and the mealy worms being provided." New Hampton, NY 03/17/08

"Today I heard the robins singing and then saw two of them enjoying the sunshine in my front yard!" Wagner, SD 03/15/08

Investigate Northern Outposts: When Will Robins Reach the End of the Trail?
We're pleased to announce our official Northern Observation Posts (NOPs) — the 22 yellow stars on the robin maps. Because few people live in the most remote regions, we have found willing volunteers to watch for the robins to arrive at the northern limits of their range. For a few, the waiting is over — but most still are waiting!

Robin migration is tightly connected to weather. One theory says that robins migrate along with average temperatures of 36 degrees F. Investigate this theory and it can help you make predictions about when the robins will reach the NOPs and the end of the trail! Dig in here:

Take the challenge! See NOP comments and start your prediction log today. (We'll be filling in the arrivals and singers.)
