Resting
in Windy Green County(+0
Miles)
Each year except 2006 the team has spent DAYS in the grip of Green County's weather or winds. They joke about it as the Green County curse. It's day 1 in Green County, and it's too windy here to fly. But everyone, especially #710, needs a rest after yesterday's workout. It's a day for the crane-kids to play with their pumpkins, just like all of you who are getting ready for Halloween! Other News: From the Western flock's winter home in Texas comes good news! The first known juveniles of this hatch year have safely arrived from Canada! The Lobstick family (parents with twin chicks) was seen on their refuge territory October 28th. A total of 23 (21 adults + 2 chicks) have safely arrived in Texas after a 2,600-mile migration from Canada!
