This is Thanksgiving Day in the United States, with more than 27 million people flying somewhere for the holiday. The birds and team are flying nowhere, as strong winds are still keeping them down.

In the Classroom

  • Today's Journal Question: (a) What are YOU thankful for today? What message would you send to the migration team, spending this day far from home? (b-for-bonus) Where did the mostly-Canadian crew spend Canada's Thanksgiving Day? Where did the crew spend U.S. Thanksgiving Day in 2006?

Journey North is pleased to feature this educational adventure presented in cooperation with the Whooping Crane Eastern Partnership (WCEP).
